The first day of our translational review showed the achievements of our primary schools. They came, saw and won. The language festival of my imagination came true today. My introductory speech was in Engleish, and all the teachers and learners spoke the foreign language in which they had done their translational work. 25 translational works were presented in Russian and English. The contents of the materials was basically children's world showing either their everyday real life or the beautiful world of tales. Everything was bright, vivifying and causing optimism. Thanks to translations the learners not only aquire new language knowledge, but also their world outlook widens. I especially appreciate learners' ability to express their thoughts in foreign languages, and translating their own articles from Armenian into English greatly favours the development of that important language competency.
Dear learners and foreign language teachers of our primary schools, You have coped with this review fairly well. You are all winners. On June 21 You will learn what prizes you have got.
